Nau mai, haere mai - Welcome
Ko Hāto Petera Ināianei - Hāto Petera Today
The Hāto Petera whānau whānui, kaumātua and the Catholic Bishop of Auckland are working together to restore the mauri of the Hāto Petera site through a re-purposing project in the spirit of the Crown grant.
Hāto Petera College has a proud history and tradition of supporting Māori through education. Although the school closed in 2018, the re-purposing project is a way in which the Hāto Petera College site can serve another generation to secure successful outcomes for people, their whānau, hapū, iwi and society. To find out more about the repurposing project check the About page or the FAQ.
Te Rōpū Whakahaere o nāianei - Interim Governance Group
An Interim Governance Group has been formed who are developing long-term outcomes focused on ways of using the site. As a first step we will be seeking to develop a precinct plan. It is likely that the first development will be to re-purpose education buildings at Hāto Petera for post-secondary vocational training. This group regularly consult with the Kaumatua Rōpū and the Bishop of Auckland respectively. To find out more about the people on the Kaumatua Rōpū click here.

Ko te Miha Tapu ki te Whare Karakia o Hāto Petera - Mass at the Hāto Petera Chapel
In December 2020, a monthly Miha Māori (Mass in te reo Māori) was re-established in the College Chapel. Miha is held on the Saturday of the second Sunday of each month at 5pm from May to September and 6pm from October to April.
